Tuition

All students pay a flat rate of $30 a month. A family discount is available, which includes $25 for family members are the first full tuition is paid. Students are encouraged to take multiple classes at no extra charge.

Tuition is due at the first class of the month. Payments made after the 15th of the month will result in an extra $5 fee. Checks should be made out to Black Hills in Motion, or Kayla Gahagan. Other payment options can be arranged with the instructor.

No prorated tuition for missed classes. Classes cancelled by the instructor will be rescheduled or tuition for the student will be reduced the following month.

Other Information

Clogging classes are family-friendly -- we greatly appreciate parental support! Parents are welcome to come watch their children during class and are encouraged to take a class themselves.

Students should wear comfortable clothes but pants should not drag on the floor.

As far as shoes, a pair of thin-soled shoes, such as Keds, will do for beginners. Regular taps ($10 per set) are recommended. Intermediate students should purchase buck taps ($12.50 per set). The instructor prefers nail-on taps, rather than glue-on taps. Taps may be purchased at Stevens Clogging supplies (www.stevensclogging.com).

Weather cancellations will follow school district cancellations. In other words, if school is cancelled, classes will be cancelled

All students need to go directly to our dance studio in Room #7 and not other areas of the building unless otherwise directed by the instructor, with the exception of the restroom. This is for safety and to respect the Garfield School of Arts building.
